I highly value creative exploration, and it's something that I hold dear as a requirement for living a life that feels like mine. With everything I make, I hope to demonstrate that a screwy and mixed-up life can somehow be made into something beautiful and amazing, like making a lovely piece of jewelry from a pile of confused and jumbled rings.

the work

I make colorful chainmaille that I love. Though I can and do use plain materials, I gravitate toward color because it's so expressive. Whether I design a pattern based around a certain motif, or I'm just enjoying a certain combo, there's always something fun, something personal, sometimes even something special that comes with exploring the chainmaille world through color.

"Something special". If you're thinking of asking about a commission, I'm here for it! And feel free to reach deep....I've done pieces based on someone's favorite place, a set for twins who loved the ocean, a bracelet based on a song the customer wrote that he said was a prayer....I'm eager to explore whatever dreams or faves or memories you want to throw at me.

Unless otherwise specified, all work presented here is my own. The one exception to this is with the design of the chainmaille weaves themselves, most of which were designed—in some cases, centuries ago—by someone else.

the product

All chainmaille is entirely handmade from quality materials. Rings are woven together one-by-one, and careful attention is paid to the fitness of the work throughout the making of each piece.
